*Of the Batman Begins variety

This is part of our moving adventure! To start at the beginning, go here.

First off, a note to our newly-loyal followers: We loved your comments! We read them, and approved them, and then they magically disappeared. We suspect some sort of human error, but it’s also possible that Jason’s technology curse has kicked in and that the mysterious forces of TECHNOLOGY EVIL are at play. We’ll work on that.

But on to the fun stuff! On the recommendation of the hotel staff and internet, we did not drive the spaceship into Chicago. Instead, we drove to Midway, parked there (in a ridiculously long parking lot… we were about 1/3 of a mile from the exit), and rode the Orange Line of the CTA into THE LOOP.

From there, we acted like total tourists, wandering down random streets while looking up at the sky, the better to see really tall buildings.

We also saw some cool Batman-related stuff, including Mike’s daily bridge:

We then pretended to be awesome by picking a random orange line station along the Loop for our departure. We scrambled back to the hotel, and made our way towards Des Moines, IA, with our trusty copilots. We’ll spare you all the details of driving through hundreds of cornfields.
