This is part of our moving adventure! To start at the beginning, go here.

So, after some much needed rest and relaxation with our dear friends David and Kelly, it was time to hit the road for Niagara Falls… but first we needed to have some new tires installed. After 7 years and 60,000 miles, the original Bridgestone tires had enough dry rot to make the surface of a dried-up lake look inviting.

To climb a large mountain, one must wear good shoes

Which temporarily left our embarrassed-but-ever-faithful spaceship without any shoes, but luckily still with our bikes [much to the amusement of the mechanics at Molye Chevrolet].

During the course of the tire replacement, the mechanic noticed that our rear brake pads were very thin. Thin enough that if we had driven 100 more miles, we would have had no friction material left. Consequently, the spaceship got some new socks along with its shoes.

So, we are a little behind schedule, but much better prepared for driving the 3000+ miles we have left to go!
